Jem Tennis has just been accredited with the LTA Beacon Status in recognition of the fun and affordable tennis experience that our facility offers the local community. We become one of the first 75 park and community tennis sites to have been awarded the status.
Located at the impressive state-of-the-art sports facilitiy at Hamble Community Sports College, the four brand new tarmacadam tennis courts at JEM Tennis are a great place to play for any standard of player. As a JEM Tennis Club Member you can play for free on the courts, pay reduced coaching fees, get priority booking for social events, inclusion in team play and tournaments and discounts on shop goods and racket stringing. Clubmark Accreditation
We are very proud to announce that onTuesday 27th October 2009 JEM Tennis achieved its Tennis Clubmark Accreditation. Huge congratulations to everyone that helped make this happen.
Mini Tennis
A full and inclusive junior programme is in operation for children from 3 years old with our tennis tots sessions, to Red, Orange and Green Mini Tennis courses progressing juniors through the stages of learning in a fun environment. Regular tennis Activity Camps during the school holidays
Junior Academy
Elite performing juniors are identified and coached by our performance manager who advises and guides young talent on the pathway to higher levels of competitve tennis. Specialist elite training days are held during the school holidays. We really value our juniors at JEM Tennis and they are encourgaed to take a very active role in the club and their opinions are greatly received and respected, creating an environment condusive to their all round development as young adults. Colin Murphy also offers pathways into the coaching team and they are actively welcomed into adult teams. We regularly run LTA Tennis Leader and Competition Organiser courses.
Sports Pavilion
Our impressive Clubhouse opened in May 2010. It has extensive seating, a kitchen, bar and toilet facilities. A perfect way to relax after tennis or as spectators with a drink and snacks. The Leisure Centre cafe is also available for use by all tennis players for pre and post play refreshments.
Corporate Days
Team building, activity days and tournaments can be booked and corporate membership is available for groups.
Birthday Parties
Tailor-made adult and children's tennis parties with the use of the superb facilities with the cafe at the Leisure centre are available to book. Social Events Friendly matches and barbecues are all part of the fun social activities organised at JEM Tennis.

Coaching
All of our coaching sessions are on a pay and play basis with no prior booking needed or term block payments required as we feel this is the most accessible route to playing tennis regardless of junior or adult status. Just turn up and join in. Please look at the coaching pages of the website for times and abilities. If you are unsure what session would be best for you just contact Colin who will be happy to advise.
Pay and Play
You can come and play at the courts on a pay and play basis by booking at the Leisure Centre reception on 023 80452321, £6.00 per hour or £3.00 per half hour per court. There is also a ball machine available for hire through JEM Tennis at cost of £5.00 per hour.
We as a club are extremely proud of our radically fresh approach to teaching and coaching tennis as this we feel gives us the edge on all other clubs. Regardless of ability or age we welcome everyone to come and experience the passion and drive that Colin Murphy and his team have for making tennis accessible for all and ensuring that the whole community and wider benefit from this.
